Pixeltrees.com is a business set up by Giles Vickers Jones and Ewen MacIntosh that aims to sell a million pixels of advertising space and save a million trees. We believe that at the current time, it is vital that businesses give something back to the planet. We also realise that businesses have to make a profit to survive and one way that they go about this is through advertising. So why not combine the 2 and help to save the planet while also advertising a business or product….. This is where pixeltrees.com comes into its own. We will be running an ongoing media campaign that will keep the site in the public eye, generating a high volumeof traffic to the site and in turn generating a high number of clicks on companies advertising there. The revenue generated from the sold pixels will be used to save trees in association with the World Land Trust. We will save 1 tree for every 1 pixel sold. We have a million pixels available….. We intend to save a million trees…

Giles Vickers-Jones

Giles is one of Britain’s new breed of TV presenters with plenty of hours of live television under his belt. From music festivals to dating shows, there is very little he won’t try his hand at.
After an early foray into the world of modelling, Giles decided the hours were too long so moved into TV presenting instead. He has been busy ever since, fronting such shows as Playdate on ITV 1, Bodytalk on Channel 4, ITV at the Festivals, as well as being a regular contributor to the E! Entertainment Channel in the U.S.
He is currently the host of ITV at the Movies and is also writing a book giving advice to models, based on his own experiences in that industry. Giles is a fitness freak, which is just as well as he also has a passion for burgers, once consuming 10 in single evening. Ewen MacIntosh

Ewen is an actor and writer, best known for playing the character Keith in the BBC series The Office. Over the last few years he has cropped up in many of the most popular comedy shows in the UK.
Having performed sketch shows with his comedy group Navelgazing at several Edinburgh Festivals, Ewen moved to London in 2000 and soon got his first acting break in The Office. He has gone on to appear in comedies Little Britain and Lead Balloon as well as taking dramatic roles in shows such as Casualty and Murder in Suburbia.
Success in The Office led to Ewen becoming a rent-a-gob for various Talking Head-style shows as well as becoming a regular guest on Big Brother’s Little Brother. This flirtation with the world of micro-celebrity led to him agreeing to participate in the strange reality type show California Dreaming in 2005, where he struck up a friendship with Giles….

Giles and Ewen had been looking for something to work on together for a while, and it was at the pub one afternoon that pixeltrees was born. Ewen had been reading about the million dollar home page and thought something similar could make an impact again if it got a bit of media attention. Giles had become aware of the World Land Trust and was wondering if there was some quirky way of raising some money for them. The 2 ideas immediately seemed to fit hand in glove and before long the ball was rolling on what you see before you today….. This is a business venture, but a business venture with a difference. We are aiming to help companies reduce their carbon footprint through advertising. For every pixel we sell, we will save one tree. We have a million pixels- we aim to save a million trees within a year.
